Sunset Suratt Surf School is proud of our line up of surf instructors. One of our instructors has won the Triple Crown of Surfing 6 times, which is the most any one surfer has claimed so far. He was also world champ in 2000 and has won the most victories in WQS competition. He is still on the Mens ASP world tour competing to this day. When he is back at home on the islands we are stoked to have him in the water with our students. Uncle Bryan is his coach. He is Sunny Garcia.
"I only work for Uncle Bryan, he has the best school on the north shore and he has been coaching me for 20 years."

How Often Does Hawaii See Thunder and Lightening?
We get a lot of question from future visitors to the islands. Since today is a rather stormy day we thought that it would be best to answer this question:
How Often Does Hawaii See Thunder and Lightening?
Not very often. Fortunately the Hawaiian islands are not in the path of weather systems that deliver such meteorlogic sights and sounds. However, it is said that Kauai get more thunderstorms than the other islands. I guess that could be due to the fact that Kauai is one of the rainiest places in the world.
We googled the question and found that the majority of answers pointed the finger at Kauai
